Fall Field Day

Self-Guided Fall Field Day at Nut Tree Pecan Company
The 2021 GPGA Fall Field Day took place this year on September 13-17 and was hosted by Putt Wetherbee at Nut Tree Pecan Company located near Albany, Visitors had the entire week to tour four orchards, in addition to the pecan tree nursery and the cleaning plant. Whether we are talking about an unexpected tropical storm or global health crises, GPGA's top priority is our growers and industry supporters.
Although circumstances altered our plans yet again, we were able to present a "self-guided" Fall Field Day, providing polished and engaging content instead of a solely virtual event. While we had to adjust our delivery method, our ultimate goal remained the same; to ensure growers received purposeful, educational content in a clear, defined and easy to access manner, thus The Pecan Grower Special Edition Guidebook was born!
This event and all that went along with it could not have been made possible without our loyal sponsors. Without their support, publishing and printing the Guidebook would not have been possible. Last but not least, a sincere Thank you is in order for Putt Wetherbee and his team at Nut Tree Pecan Company. Putt's passion and eagerness to share his data and best practices for the betterment of the industry is unmatched. Thank you form all of us at GPGA for all your efforts!
